"I Hunger"
Originally written, recorded, and produced in NYC...but, I wanted to add a little spice of Lao traditional musical instruments to the track, so I collaborated with Mee of Mega Studio in Vientiane, Laos...
Because of the lyrics, one may think the song is about my lost lover...negative, the song is actually about my papa whom I haven't seen in 23 years when I wrote the song...
this new version of "I Hunger" is a twist of Lao traditional musical instruments with a western sounds of edgy guitars, strong chords, & electronic drum beats - it's like...bridging the gap between the daughter and the father...
"Chanting Inner Peace" Written, recorded, and produced in NYC in collaboration with David Baron Buddhist Chant...I am sure you've heard of this chant before...I wanted to give it a twist of electronic vibes, nice warming chords, smooth grooves, cool loops - and if you listen closely, you will hear the presence of traditional Lao instruments playing and a sample of children's voices as they were playing in the playground...this piece is a little over a decade old since it was brought to life...
it doesn't matter...what matters is I am still chanting...that's where I find my inner peace...try it, you'll discover the world of Te-Va-Da...
I've received several emails from students studying abroad...they say they miss home...some of the letters brought tears to my heart, yes indeed, home is where the heart is...
I'd like to dedicate this piece to ALL of those that had stumbled upon "There's NO place like home"...
If you're far away and missing "HOME"...I think you'll enjoy this piece...
