My Top movies I am excited to see

Here are two movies I am excited about.

1. Watchmen. I am reading the comic right now and it's great. The characters are complex and interesting, not your usual boring and static characters). Release date March 6th
2. Tekken. This movie is based on the video game. Since I love martial arts movie I want to see it. This movie has some awesome casts. For example:
A. Luke Goss: he starred in One night with the King in which he played King Xerxes. The movie was a good story about the Jewish people and how they were rescued by Queen Ester who was married to King Xerxes. At the time, Jews were getting persecuted because of their religion and Queen Ester risked her on life to save her people. The other well known movie he starred in was Hellboy II as Prince Nuada. Of course, some people couldn’t tell it was him because of all the make-up. In Tekken he plays Steve Fox. Picture below of the character from firstshowing.net website. After Tekken he stars in a comic book adaptation with Jenna Dewan in Magdalena as Kristof. Whatever, movie he stars in I will definitely watch since he is talented and not bad on the eyes!

B.Jon Foo: he is going to play the character Jin Kazama is an amazing Wushu master. He actually is part of Jackie Chan’s stunt crew. When he starred in Onk Bok as a villian, the was in the major fight scene with Tony Jaa. I remember thinking that he was such a good martial artist, but my attention had been focused on Tony Jaa. Knowing Jon Foo’s martial arts background, he will definitely showcase his skills as Jin in Tekken.

C.3. Cung Le: he is going to star as Marshall Law. I first noticed him fighting in the MMA against Frank Shamrock. I was blown away that a Vietnamese mixed martial artist defeated Shamrock who has been around since the beginning of the UFC. According to Wiki, “Cung Le is undefeated in his professional San Shou career (17-0-0). He has won three US Open International Martial Arts Championships (1994, 1995,1996). He has also won 4 US National Championships.” He is definitely talented.

Anybody else excited about these two movies?

So, summer's come and gone. Films I wound up catching included: Zombieland (great!), Jennifer's Body (boo), 9 (the cartoon. boo), Pandorum (meh), and Where the Wild Things Are (boo). Critical reaction to the Vampire's Assistant have been so terrible that I'm going to skip that. But I AM still looking forward to Holmes. We'll see!

Well summer's chugging along smoothly enough. Currently looking forward to: Inglorious Basterds, Holmes (coming in December) and trying to catch Moon. Debating on whether it would be worth it to catch Watchmen, the Director's Cut in the theaters. Harry Potter bored me, and I'd had higher hopes for Ice Age 3, although Scratte and Scrat made it more enjoyable for me. I'll go catch the G.I. Joe film, but i'm not having high hopes for it....

Interestingly, my top films of the summer so far are Drag Me To Hell, Star Trek and Up. I admit, I just wanted more out of Terminator: Salvation, which had potential, but I don't think it lived up to it. It felt too much like it was built by committee and focus groups.

Maybe I am tired of Star Trek LT? I feel that after I have seen most of the episode on TV, I did not seem to be able to get interested in anything that follows....Maybe I am just getting old?...lol

Bryan, now that I have seen both, you are right, I would recommend Star Trek. I would actually buy Star Trek. It was brilliant! As I was watching the movie, I had flashback to the original series! I did not find myself bored at all.

This new G.I. Joe is definitely going to be action packed. You know I love sci-fi, love reading it and watching it.

I have seen Stone's Heaven and Earth film and I think the Japanese Samurai movie as well, I just have to refresh my memory.

I'd recommend Star Trek over Wolverine. Currently hoping Terminator: Salvation is good. It will be better than G.I. Joe or the Transformers, I imagine, although nostalgia makes me hope G.I. Joe is good, since it was such a formative part of my youth, and lol, in many ways DOES influence my writing and approach to writing in a story too long to explain here.
